Street and Fifth Avenue for building the Empire State Building. On this
property sat the glamourous Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Since the property had
become extremely valuable, the owners of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel decided to
sell the property and build a new hotel on Park Avenue.
